CHARACTERISTICS

Test Before You Begin

Due to the natural variation of tile and surface materials, we highly recommend applying several small test patches in inconspicuous areas. This helps ensure optimal performance and reveals any subtle shading differences that may occur on certain substrates.

Surface Preparation

Surface prep is essential for proper adhesion and long-term performance. Before sealing:

  • Make sure surfaces are completely clean, dry, and free of oil, wax, grease, or dirt.
  • Fully neutralize and rinse the surface before applying Olé.
Application Instructions
  • Apply Olé using a sponge applicator, brush, or low-pressure sprayer.
  • Apply two or more thin, even coats
  • Allow each coat to dry for at least 4 hours before applying the next
  • Avoid puddling or over-application
  • Surface can be walked on after 24 hours, though full stain and abrasion resistance will continue to build over three weeks
Pro Tips & Special Cases
  • Always read the label and conduct a test before applying Olé to ensure proper bonding and finish.
  • For dense materials like Super Saltillo, machine-made pavers, or previously sealed tiles, dilute the first coat with water to improve adhesion.
  • Need a grout release? Apply two coats of Olé at least 48 hours before grouting. After grouting and cleaning, wait 24 hours before sealing the grout.
