Its colors and forms draw from the bold visual language of Mexican textiles and the graphic character of hand block printing, creating a pattern that feels both folkloric and fresh.

What is Type I?

Type 1 wallcovering is a performance category rating based on ASTM F793. Type I is ideal for residential, wet-area adjacent, and light commercial spaces where walls don’t see heavy wear.

It looks great, but it’s not built for high-traffic or high-impact environments like hospitals or schools.

What is Selvedge?

Selvedge is an extra 1.5" margin on each side of the wallpaper, outside the printed design. It includes key details like the base paint match color and vertical repeat.

It protects the material during shipping and installation, and is trimmed off before hanging so seams align cleanly.

Is this DIY friendly?

We recommend working with a professional wallpaper installer to get the best result.

That said, if you’re an experienced DIYer and comfortable with precision installs, it’s definitely doable with the right prep and attention to detail.
