The Inspiration

The restaurant’s building, a repurposed town hall from the Ninh Binh region of Vietnam, is the physical embodiment of a dining experience that takes inspiration from history and cultures. The design intent of this project was to transform a reclaimed 1880s Vietnamese Town Hall into a functioning, inviting restaurant. Essentially, Deborah Kirk had a new construction project that involved a reclaimed structure with seamless additions.

The Design Elements

The beauty and history of Tillie’s is an extension of the property on which it sits. Camp Lucy, a Texas Wine Country resort, combines the sophisticated charm of the Hill Country with world-class luxuries and modern amenities. In order to create a truly exceptional setting, Deborah curated a combination of design elements: antique decor, carved wood accents, sophisticated furniture and last but not least outstanding handmade tile.
