Clay Imports Austin is looking for a motivated Sales Associate to join our team of exceptional people! You’ll be our new customers’ first point of contact, helping them navigate our tile, home decor, and architectural products. The job is in Austin, Texas, and you will work out of our beautiful Studio on North Lamar Blvd.

Speaking of coffee, if you have Barista experience, it’s a plus, since we’re in the process of developing a coffee shop. We are a young, diverse company, seeking a friendly and courteous coworker that enjoys representing our brand. This is an entry-level position, with room for growth.  

The Role: Stay knowledgeable about our range of handmade products and promote them through excellent customer service.

• - Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• - Be proactive by actively seeking out potential customers on a variety of mediums.
• - Drives sales through the engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing of product knowledge.
• - Build trust and maintain relationships with customers through continual follow-ups and sincere interactions.
• - Responds to customers’ questions via emails/phone calls/chat/video calls in a timely and thoughtful manner.
• - Follow and achieve department’s sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• - Contribute to a team selling mentality by supporting colleagues and working together on a variety of projects, including customer projects.
• - Contribute ideas to improving overall sales by suggesting new ideas that will grow the business.

We are Looking for Someone with…

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Someone who is able to communicate with a variety of professional groups.
• Knowledge of (or wish to learn) about tile materials and interior design. 
• Proficient in using a computer.
• The ability to work out of our ATX Studio Monday, Tuesday, Thursday-Saturday from 9:00am-5:00pm.
• 1+ years background providing excellent customer service.
• Shopify experience a plus.
• Barista experience a plus.
