    D'HANIS RED TERRACOTTA

Mid-Century Modern design coined this iconic style of refined, yet organic look highlighted with this vibrant red hue.

    D'HANIS RED TERRACOTTA SATIN

Original Dhanis tiles were commonly used throughout the 1960s, but are no longer in production. Many historic home owners choose Clay Imports’ Dhanis Red Terra cotta tiles as replacements or replicas of the original Dhanis tile.

Now, designers and architects took note and spec our Dhanis Red Terra cotta tiles to achieve a Mid-century modern aesthetic.

    VARIATION

V2 SLIGHT VARIATION: Distinguishable differences in texture and shade within the same batch of tile.

    SEALER

SATIN: Satin sealer offers a comparable level of protection as our gloss seal, making it ideal for high traffic and wet areas.

    TOP COAT

Although pre-sealed with our satin sealer, additional sealing is recommended for extra protection. Follow the installation guide here.

    GROUT

For a more modern, sleeker look:

    GROUT JOINT

You can space out Saltillo tile as wide as 3/4” and go as small as 1/4.” Generally, smaller joints are used with smaller tiles (6” and under) and tend to create a more modern look. Larger joints are used with larger tiles and maintain the traditional look.

    TECHNICAL RESOURCES

Variation in shade and texture for Dhanis terracotta tile is normal—it’s part of what makes the installations look so uniquely rustic and authentic. Blend the tiles beforehand and don't forget sealing is an integral part of Dhanis tile installation.
