Habitat for Humanity Multi-Family Project in Mueller provides Affordable Housing for Austenite to call Home
Thank you, Michael Hsu Architecture for including us in this important Habitat for Humanity project! We happily donated tile to decorate and enrich the spaces that provide home for our communities. What an awesome idea to cover the facade of the new affordable housing project in Mueller in handmade tile! This unique neighborhood provides the opportunity for the Habitat homeowners to live, work, play, and thrive. Clay Imports is honored to be a part of these beautifully designed homes in our hometown. More photos and videos coming soon!
About The Project
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. We believe affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities. Learn more about local Habitat organization:
Austin Habitat for Humanity is proud to have served Travis County since 1985, and we are excited to continue to serve the Austin area through affordable homeownership opportunities, critical home repair, and financial counseling.
In order to evolve with the changing needs of the rapidly growing Austin-area, we have expanded our product offering in Travis County to include single-family freestanding homes, attached multifamily row homes and a 50-plus unit condo development. These innovative new models will help us serve the growing population of Austenite who are being affected by the affordable housing crisis in Central Texas.

The Plan
Over the next five years, we will be building a 67-home community in our Scenic Point neighborhood, and this fall we are working on the Build for Unity, Realty Austin Build, ATX Community Build, and the San Marcos Community Build. In addition to our work in Scenic Point, we will also be breaking ground on our first every multifamily attached development in the coveted Mueller neighborhood. This development designed by Michael Hsu Office of Architecture will create eleven new homes, opportunity, and access for hardworking Austin families.
Following this first step into denser housing models, in 2020, we look forward to kicking off our 57-unit 4th & Onion condo development designed by Page Architects in the heart of East Austin, just minutes from downtown. This development will drastically increase the number of partner families we are able to serve, and provide a unique homeownership opportunity for our clients. We look forward to sharing more soon!
