    Usage

    Recommended for

    Although grout color is based on personal preference and your specific project, we recommend Mapei 06 Harvest. Read our grout color blog for additional recommendations.

     

    We recommend grout spacing between 1/16”-1/8”. Due to size variation in handmade tile, a smaller grout joint can create uneven grout lines, therefore larger grout lines can be easier to install. This is a recommendation, so feel free to consult us if you need additional guidance.

    Trim

    For a clean and contemporary look, we recommend Schluter Schiene Satin Anodized Aluminium - 3/8". This sleek metal trim is paintable and available in various finish options. For additional information on trim, email us at contact@clayimports.com!

        Relief tiles are most notably recognized by their textured decorative surfaces. We designed this tile to incorporate the beauty and integrity of handcrafted tile. At the same time, this tile has a denser body. The production of this ornate tile is the most time and labor-intensive of all of our offerings. The reason is that artisans meticulously sketch and hand paint each intricate design. The hand-crafting process of fabricating relief tile may take upwards of 20 times longer than a solid color tile! For this reason, we treat our relief tiles with somewhat of a reverence for the artists, as each individual tile is a work of art.
