About the Artist
Dog whisperer Luis Herrera, began his career as a dog trainer in Mexico, where he was learning and practicing Schutzhund at the Police Academy, and providing free/low-cost group classes in Cancun. Luis also had the opportunity to help different rescue groups by rehabilitating dogs and organizing fundraisers.
In 2010, he arrived in Austin, Texas with the vision of being a professional dog trainer. His first job interacting with dogs in the U.S. was working as an adoption counselor with Austin Pets Alive. The very same non-profit organization this project is supporting!
Luis currently works with all breeds and ages of dogs and teaches a wide variety of classes, ranging from basic to advanced obedience training at Time for your DogĀ / Entrenamos tu Perro. He also specializes in behavior modifications, such as fear, aggression, and more.
About the Series
This El Perro collection of fired glazed clay pet bowls is the artful alternative to traditional plastic and metal dog bowls. The Artist, Luis Herrera, chose to incorporate a slow-feed feature for digestive health. Featuring a domed interior to slow the roll of your pet's favorite meal, each set includes one 6 1/2ā food bowl and one matching water bowl. Clay Imports donates proceeds of all sales to Austin Pets Alive. All bowls are handmade in Mexico and one-of-a-kind!
